We preferred to celebrate my little guy's first birthday quietly for several reasons. We gathered some few friends and family and we had a really great time! The atmosphere was festive and our little one was so happy seeing us all together. Theme of the party? Related to Christmas the baby elf that was so cute!
All the decoration of the party was handmade by me giving the place a harmonic touch. Firstly, I made the invitations! Is there any party without an invitation? No there isn't...
Τα 1α γενέθλια του μικρούλη μου προτιμήσαμε να τα κάνουμε οικογενειακά χωρίς πολλές φανφάρες για διάφορους λόγους. Ήμασταν λίγοι και καλοί όπως λένε αλλά περάσαμε υπέροχα! Ο μικρούλης μας χάρηκε πάρα πολύ που μας είδε όλους μαζεμένους κι υπήρχε αυτό το γιορτινό κλίμα! Το θέμα του πάρτυ? Χριστουγεννιάτικο και συγκεκριμένα το μωρό-ξωτικό που ήταν τόσο γλυκούλι!
Όλα φτιαγμένα από τα χεράκια της μαμάς έδιναν μία αρμονία στον χώρο. Για αρχή έφτιαξα τις προσκλήσεις! Πάρτυ χωρίς προσκλήσεις γίνεται? Δεν γίνεται...
The outside of the invitation was based on the number one and the baby elf decorated with a red bow.
Το εξωτερικό της πρόσκλησης ήταν με βάση το νούμερο 1 και το μωρό-ξωτικό διακοσμημένο με κόκκινη κορδελίτσα.

And party without a favor gift can't be done. The idea was to create a favor that will decorate our friends' houses and at the same time to be something personal and unique.

φυσικά γενέθλια χωρίς δωράκι αναμνηστικό δεν γίνεται. Η ιδέα ήταν να
δημιουργήσω ένα δώρο που θα τους μείνει. Και μιας και ήμασταν μεταξύ μας
σκέφτηκα να το κάνω λίγο πιο προσωπικό αφού ήταν όλοι της οικογενείας.

And inside it the gift! A red frame with a funny picture of my little one decorated with the baby elf. Everyone went crazy with the gift and now it decorates our friends' houses.
Όπου στο εσωτερικό του είχε αυτή την κορνίζα! Μία κόκκινη κορνίζα με φωτογραφία του μικρούλη μας σε αστεία γκριμάτσα και το μωρό-ξωτικό. Όλοι ξετρελάθηκαν με το δωράκι τους και το έχουν πλέον στη συλλογή τους με τις υπόλοιπες οικογενειακές φωτογραφίες.

Εδώ είναι το μικρό μας μπουφέ με διάφορα καλούδια και το σχετικό banner που έλεγε Happy Birthday!
It consisted of sweet and savory in bite sizes mostly. On the left you can see the guest book that I've made for the day (unfortunately I don't have a closer picture to show you) and it was decorated on the same pattern like the invitation.
Ο μπουφές μας είχε και γλυκάκια και πιτάκια για όλα τα γούστα. Στην άκρη αριστερά διακρίνεται και το βιβλίο ευχών (το οποίο δυστυχώς δεν το έχω σε φωτό να σας το δείξω καλύτερα) το οποίο είναι ίδιο με το προσκλητήριο κι έχει κόκκινες και πράσινες κορδελίτσες στην άκρη.

Here is a tiered cake stand holding the cupcakes and truffles. The cupcakes were made by chocolate with vanilla frosting decorated with colored sprinkles. The wrappers and the cake toppers were designed on the computer to match the theme of the party. You can find the recipe for the truffles here. It is the same except I decorated them with chocolate sprinkles instead of colored.
Κι εδώ τα τρουφάκια και τα cupcakes που είχα κάνει μόνη μου. Τα cupcakes ήταν σοκολατένια με vanilla frosting πασπαλισμένα με χρωματιστή τρούφα. Τα περιτυλίγματα τα έφτιαξα μόνη μου με την βοήθεια του υπολογιστή όπως επίσης και τα toppers που τα κοσμούν. Τα τρουφάκια θα τα βρείτε εδώ. Μόνο που αντί για χρωματιστή τρούφα χρησιμοποίησα σοκολατένια τρούφα.
